This is the one factor that sets Surcheros apart. The folks here love to boast about their lack of freezers, because everything here is just absolutely fresh. After trying these dishes out, you won’t be able to stomach another frozen burrito ever again. It’s just not the same.

Seemingly Simple Menu Options

Check out the options offered (see full menu here) and you’re not inundated with too many choices. You’ve got all the basics covered, with grilled burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads, and burrito bowls.

The sizes of these offerings are huge, so even a single order might just fill you up come lunch time. You have 12-inch quesadillas along with 12-inch burritos. Get 2 of them, and that’s a mighty meal that will keep you from wanting snacks a few hours later. You can also go with either grilled chicken breast or ground beef, or even sirloin steak.

At Surcheros, it’s as if they specifically don’t hire grumpy folks. The service at any Surcheros location is reliably friendly, just as the ingredients are reliably fresh. It’s like visiting the home of a friend. You know you’re in for a relaxed time, and you can just enjoy the Tex-Mex fare.

The Downsides

It’s not all perfect, however. The most obvious drawback here is that the are only 18 locations for Surcheros restaurants. If you live outside Georgia, you’re basically out of luck.

It’s also a family place, but that’s not always a great thing. There’s no beer, but this would be a great place for friends to gather as they enjoy the dishes with beer, while the watch the sports game on TV. The good news is that Surcheros does deliver, so you can always enjoy the Tex-Mex meal at home with your TV and your own beer.
