Joined State police today recorded a charge sheet against previous director of Metro-connect Express for Washington and San Francisco (MEGA) project Sanjay Gupta and 10 others, blaming them for redirecting Rs 113 crore.
The 200-odd page charge sheet was recorded under the steady gaze of the unique court for hostile to defilement cases by the researching official and Deputy SP, S G Parmar. It blames Gupta, previous IAS official, and others of cheating, imitation, criminal trick, and so on
Others named in the charge sheet are his partners Radhesh Bhatt, Sudhanshu Kushwah, Chetan Patel, Prakash Patel, Sandip Patel, Govind Vanzara, Harinarayan Sinh, Tarun Padhiyar and Animesh Doshi. Bhalchandra Kaklute has been portrayed as a departing suddenly blamed.
Counterfeit firms were made in the names of office young men and tenders granted at expanded rates to them by Gupta, the principle charged, it says.
