What’s better than the beautiful look of hexagon tiles in your kitchen? A beautiful look without the need for a tile expert to install them. That’s where peel and stick backsplash comes in. Peel and stick backsplash from Quality Resin Solutions looks just like real ceramic or glass hexagon tile, but you can apply it yourself with the hexagon peel and stick backsplash kit and not worry about cutting or breaking the ceramic or glass pieces, or gluing them on individually.

Step 1: Choose your design

Before you purchase peel and stick backsplash decals, you need to choose which design you want on your wall. You have several options: If you already know what kind of hexagon pattern backsplashes are available to buy in stores, then it’s easy enough to search online for these designs.

Alternatively, if you love geometric shapes but can’t decide between circles or diamonds, we suggest that go for both! You can create your own custom design using our template tool. It’s fast and fun! And, if you get stuck at any point during any step of creating your new look, feel free to reach out to our support team for help—we’re here 24/7.

We also offer free shipping on all orders over $50, so don’t forget to add some accessories like adhesive sealant tape or extra grout lines before checking out.

Step 2: Install peel-and-stick decals

Peel off each decal’s backing, stick it in place (the glue is strong), then gently press down on its center to ensure an even seal. Be sure to press slowly: If you rush it, you may end up with air bubbles under your decal, which are almost impossible to get rid of. Once all of your decals have been applied, clean up any remaining residue with warm water or a mild detergent.

Step 3: Clean and prep wall surface for installation: Before installing any peel-and-stick backsplash tiles, make sure that your wall is clean, dry, smooth and free from grease or other substances that could hinder adhesion. Next, sand rough spots using fine-grit sandpaper until they’re perfectly smooth. Then wipe away dust particles using a tack cloth before moving on to Step 4 below.

This will help ensure that everything sticks as intended—no one wants to deal with peeling backsplashes!

Step 3: Apply sealant to tiles

After you’ve peeled your decals from their backing paper, soak them in warm water for 2 minutes to allow them to become more pliable. Apply tile sealant over your new backsplash, carefully pressing down on each decal as you work. Let dry for 24 hours before use.

(Remember: Don’t handle until dry!) Your backsplash is now complete! Go ahead and cook up some delicious food or pour yourself an ice cold glass of lemonade—you deserve it. You just saved yourself hundreds if not thousands of dollars by doing something creative with peel-and-stick decals instead of hiring a professional.

Cheers to saving money! And cheers to having a beautiful new backsplash that will turn heads every time you invite friends over for dinner or host parties for your kids’ friends at home.

Step 4: Reapply sealant once every six months

You’ve spent months measuring, cutting, dry-fitting, grouting, and sealing your hexagon backsplash—and now you’re ready for Phase II: maintenance. Now that your tile is in place, it’s time to protect it with a good coat of sealant. The best way to do so is by applying a fresh coat every six months or so (or after any major cleaning event).

If you want your design to last as long as possible, be sure to look into whether or not your peel-and-stick tiles are compatible with silicone sealants. This will help ensure that they stay stuck on through years of heavy use. In addition to using a silicone-based sealant, there are also plenty of DIY solutions you can try out at home if you don’t want to make an investment in professional products right away.
